This is the big problem when comes aperitif time : how to properly chill a bottle of wine?

The ideal and simplest solution is to plan ahead and place the bottle upright in the refrigerator the night before. This will give the wine plenty of time to cool without being rushed. Then, to keep it chilled, use an ice bucket filled with ice cubes.

If you want to chill it "quickly" while respecting the Champagne's qualities as much as possible, don't put it in the freezer. Instead, opt for an ice bucket filled with ice cubes, a handful of coarse salt, and water up to the neck! (This also works with an ice bag.)

But please, don't put ice cubes in the glass, or at least not with Pierrel Champagne in it 😉
